TISIRI at Jacksonville Beach with ARC Surf Camp

TISIRI’s Kistel and Kalakauskis served as a surf station “leaders” providing 1 on 1 surfing instruction and guidance to children throughout the day. Kistel and Kalakauskis would discuss surfing with each child before entering the water whiling getting an idea of each child’s comfort level. Once the child appeared comfortable he/she would lay on the surf board while being pushed into a wave. Most of the children were able to stand up on the surf board with a few attempts.

Barge Loaded For Flagler Artifical Reef Deployment

Later this week, weather permitting, this material will be barged down off the coast of Flagler county and deployed to the sea floor. In no time at all the concrete reef material will colonise with invertebrate growth providing food and shelter for a diverse variety of marine life.

Yacht outing aboard the Amazing Grace

July 14th and 15th 2011 TISIRI’s Joe Kistel and Ed Kalakauskis joined Safe Harbor Boys Home in an outing aboard the largest yacht in Jacksonville; the Amazing Grace. New Jacksonville Artificial Reef Is Thriving

TISIRI and Jacksonville Reef Research team (JRRT) divers visited this Jacksonville artificial reef that was deployed in August of 2009. The video and pictures below show the condition of the reef after only 2 years of evolution.
